Easy Home Baked Bread
This is a very easy recipe for making bread. You just need to make sure you have the right bread pans, and then off you go! Most of these ingredients are likely already in your pantry. Whip up a quick batch one weekend morning and sit back to enjoy those hungry little mouths drool over fresh toast with dripping hot butter! An easy way to solidify your place as Quenn Bee!
STEP ONE:
In a large mixer bowl, dissolve sugar in warm water (stirring). Add yeast and allow it to proof (approx 10 minutes) until little air bubbles form.
STEP TWO:
Turn the mixer on low and add salt and oil. Then begin adding one cup of flour at a time, allowing the flour to blend in evenly.
STEP THREE:
When the dough has blended together, lightly flour-dust a clean surface and begin kneading your dough - you can wet your hand slightly if the dough is too dry, or sprinkle a little more flour from time to time if it is too wet.
STEP FOUR:
Lightly oil the mixing bowl, and place your round dough ball into the bowl. drizzle oil and spread evenly around the dough ball as well to keep it from drying out.
STEP FIVE:
Cover the mixing bowl with clear plastic wrap and a towel, and place in a warm area to allow it to rise - approximately 1 hour
STEP SIX:
When the dough has risen, punch it down slightly to release excess air pockets. Divide and roll into 4 buns and place in bread pans as shown. Cover with clear plastic and a light town and allow to rise until approximately 1" above the top of the pan (about 1 hour)
STEP SEVEN:
Slather with melted butter if you like and then bake at 350 degrees until golden brown on top (approximately 30-35 minutes). Remove from the over and allow to cool on a rack.
