KitchenAid® Hand Blender

This is another MUST-HAVE for your kitchen. The KitchenAid® 5-Speed Hand Blender is one of those tools that you don’t really know you need, until you do.

For shakes? Sure… you want to make one or two without whipping out the big boy. But what about pureeing homemade tomato basil soup to get that splendid creamy texture? Or for your fresh-from-scratch whipped topping for that Pumpkin pie around the holidays? Homemade mayonnaise? Vinaigrette dressings? Freshly chopped herbs? Endless possibilities!

In my kitchen, this guy stays within arm reach of the stove at all times, (unlike his other KitchenAid® gadget brothers and sisters who live in the pantry), simply because I grab it so often. It just needs to be there.

I have used 3 other brands of hand mixers over the years, from inexpensive to over-priced, and for the value this item offers, you just cannot go wrong. The motor is solid, and purrs – no loud zinging sounds. The 3 interchangeable heads pop off in a snap and are perfect for switching it up for different tasks within the same recipe. And the hand whisk is PERFECT for big bowls of eggs on Sunday mornings, gravies, you name it!

And, as with all of my KitchenAid® investments, I recommend buying them online where you can. You will often get them for a better price than having to shop around to your local stores. You can also be confident you are not getting a returned item off of the shelf in a store – especially when you are working with motorized parts, things that could have been in someone else’s dishwasher (yuck), or just in case someone returned a lemon that got restocked. Let the post man do all of the work.

Then, ensure that you register your model with KitchenAid® online for warranty purposes. Way better than returning to the store. They simply ship you a new one – the same model or the next step up – if there are any issues.
