The 3 Week Diet

The 3 Week Diet, created by Brian Flatt, aims to help its users lose a significant amount of weight in a short period of time. If you’re struggling with 10 or 20 pounds that you can’t seem to shake, the 3 week diet seems like a great method to melt the fat that’s holding on for dear life.

What the 3 Week Diet Does

Depending on your weight and metabolism, the 3 week diet will be able to help you shed anywhere between 12 and 23 pounds of fat in a mere 21 days.

For most people, this means a drop of 2 or 3 dress sizes and up to 4 inches off of your waistline. Because of the structure of the diet, it can also help you jump start your metabolism.

Who wouldn’t use a little help in that area?

Pros and Cons of the 3 Week Diet

While the 3 week diet is a great way to lose a lot in a short timeframe, it does have a few drawbacks that may interfere with certain lifestyles.

Pros

  • It’s super easy to get ready for an important event. If you have a wedding or a vacation coming up, you probably don’t have a lot of time to take the long road to your fitness goals. You’ll be ready for your bikini or your fitted dress in less than a month.
  • If you only have a little bit to lose, you can do it all in three weeks. How great would it be to diet once, and consider it done? All you have to worry about is making smart choices after you’ve completed the diet. Maintenance is a lot easier than dieting.
  • The diet uses customized calculations in order to determine the best way for you to lose weight. Some diets are very one-size-fits-all when it comes to the meal plans. With the 3 week diet, you calculate your personal BMR, and base your caloric intake on measurements specific to your body.

Cons

  • This diet isn’t designed to accommodate vegans, and some vegetarians may find it challenging if they aren’t a huge fan of eating eggs.
  • The fourth phase is a little controversial, although it is short and perfectly safe.
