Marinara Sauce
Ingredients
- good quality whole tomatoes - 1 can
- crushed garlic - 4 cloves (not chopped)
- extra virgin olive oil - 2 tbs (plus extra for drizzling)
- sea salt & cracked black pepper
Instructions
- Heat oil over medium heat; add garlic and cook until just golden brown on both sides
- Add canned tomatoes, sea salt and pepper, and let cook over high heat while liquid starts to evaporate (tomatoes will break apart while they cook)
- Drizzle liberally with more oil and allow to bubble until sauce thickens and oil has blended with the tomatoe sauce (you can see how the sauce is thick enough to stay parted once it is ready)
- Test taste and add more salt if necessary

I am including the container values for my own reference (and anyone else wanting to do this)... but keep in mind, these are my recipes and not provided by or approved by or associated with, or anything else 'with', the 21 Day Fix. In fact, it may be a little generous at times, or ingredients may be different based on what we like to eat. It's meant to be a guide.
